Boosted Food

A new division of the Company business is Boosted Food, a nutriton supplement and superfoods category business including ingredients such as Moringa and Baobab powder. These are organic natural multi-purpose nutraceuticals that are added to foods to provide people with a well-balanced diet. The Company is going to produce affordable meals enhanced with super foods and dehydrated for distribution to school kids in East Africa and elderly living at nursing homes or receiving domestic care in the EU. For East Africa we are approaching aid-organisations. For the EU the concept is to work together with youth sport clubs across the EU who will approach companies to sign up and pay for subscriptions of daily meal deliveries to the elderly at no cost to nursing homes or home care providers.

Supply Chain

In East Africa we intend to set up operations and create a supply chain with fair, sustainable wages to farmers and women-led co-operatives, and for the EU the meals and deliveries will be provided by third parties.

Moringa

Moringa is a fast-growing drought-resistant tree native to the Indian subcontinent, but also grown in Africa and South America. Moringa holds its own against any superfood. It tastes like matcha, but provides caffeine-free energy. Its anti-inflammatory properties rival turmeric, and it’s a nutritional powerhouse that makes kale blush. Moringa leaves are one of the most nutrient-dense greens on the planet, packed with protein, essential amino acids, 27 vitamins and 46 antioxidants. The leaves have been a great help in preventing famine in developing countries where the tree grows.

Baobab

The Baobab tree is native to the African continent, but also can be found in America, India and Sri Lanka. Baobab is a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C, Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium. The powder is 100% natural Baobab fruit, making it completely vegan. Baobab fruit powder forms naturally inside the mature Baobab fruit shell. The shell is cracked open and the pulp and seeds removed, then the fruit is ground. The process takes under two hours. No other processing or added preservatives are needed. Baobab contains more than 50% Dietary Fiber, of which approximately 77% soluble and 23% insoluble. The fiber content is much higher than most common fruits such as apples, pears and bananas that contain less than 10% Dietary Fiber. Baobab contains more Vitamin C than kiwis, more Calcium than milk, and more Magnesium than bananas.

Boosted Food Explained

Boosted Food is a delicious nutritionally complete food that is high in protein, fibre and essential fats, and contains a balanced macro split of 38:30:25:7 (carbohydrate, fat, protein, fibre), phytonutrients and all 26 essential vitamins and minerals. Additionally, it contains no lactose or any animal products, no soy, and no GMO.

Boosted Food meets the EU and UK Reference Nutrient Intake (RNI), Reference Intake (RI) and Nutrient Reference Value (NRV) for all macro- and micronutrients, it is a sustained source of energy and has a wealth of other nutritional benefits.

Principle Macronutrients

The principle macronutrients that we obtain energy from food are carbohydrate, fat, protein and fibre, and in Boosted Food they’re at the ratio of 38:30:25:7 respectively; i.e. 38% of the energy comes from carbohydrates, 30% from fats, 25% from proteins and 7% from fibre.

Amino acids are the simplest units of protein, and several amino acids are essential for life, with others being crucial for good health, so any diet has to contain a significant amount of protein.

Some fatty acids that are required for life and good health, so including sources of essential fat is crucial too.

Carbohydrates, whilst not essential per se, have significant benefits and help maintain energy levels.

These ratios in Boosted Food are within the parameters of the healthy eating guidelines and provide optimum, sustained energy release whilst covering macro-nutritional requirements for disease prevention

The Medilution Nutrition Sponsorship Programme

Sponsoring nutritious food for the elderly community holds a higher goodwill value compared to most forms of sponsoring due to its profound impact on the well-being and quality of life of the elderly. We are offering companies the opportunity to sponsor the delivery of nourishing meals to the elderly living at nursing homes or receiving domestic care. By supporting access to healthy and nourishing meals, this form of sponsorship directly addresses a critical need of a vulnerable population. It demonstrates a genuine concern for the welfare of the elderly, fostering a sense of care and compassion within the community. Additionally, our sponsor programme supports food processing development in Africa and youth sport clubs across the EU. This type of sponsorship sends a powerful message about the importance of supporting and valuing our seniors, our youth and people in Africa, thereby generating a significant and lasting positive impression on society. Our programme is all about compassion and sustainability.

The Problem

It has become increasingly obvious that the quality of food in many of our 4 million plus nursing homes in the EU leaves much to be desired. The current situation highlights both a lack of care for the elderly and a general lack of appreciation for the importance of good and nutritious meals.

The Medilution Solution

We are going to give companies the chance to support our offer to provide nutritious and  tasty meals to the elderly.

The concept is to work together with youth sport clubs across the EU who will approach companies to sign up and pay for subscriptions of daily deliveries to the elderly at no cost to nursing homes or domestic care companies. With the work of young sport club members and contributions from companies, we are selling a concept of supporting the elderly and the young, rather than a product/service.

The Sponsorship Subscriptions

The subscriptions are based on a number of meals per day a contributor signs up for. The subscriptions are automatically renewed each quarter, with one month’s notice.

Our Meals

Our meals will be produced and dehydrated at our facility to be set up in Kenya. The meals are boosted with nutritious super food ingredients sourced in Kenya through a supply chain with fair sustainable wages for farmers and women-led cooperatives. The recipes are checked against the destination countries local nursing homes standards. Deliveries of portion size dehydrated meals to the nursing homes’ supply channels will be made by third parties.
